disability services available. I have listed some of the most
important services; such as home modification services, assistive
products to help the disabled have better mobility, and energy
assistance to help pay for winter utility bills. If you are
disabled and on limited income please seek out these disability
services.
Home modifications
Rebuilding
Together Program - This organization will help remodel a home
to bring it up to housing code standards. No cost to the
home-owner. Locate affiliates in your state which will
modify your home to meet your needs.

shower, by the toilet, and by the tub
- Hand-held,

Housing Choice Vouchers
"The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments."

Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities
HUD provides funding to nonprofit organizations to develop rental housing with the availability of supportive services for very low-income adults with disabilities, and provides rent subsidies for the projects to help make them affordable.

National Accessible Apartment Clearinghouse
The apartment industry has developed an effective means to connect individuals with disabilities with apartments that have been designed for them, or adapted to meet their needs. With all of life's challenges, the National Accessible Apartment Clearinghouse (NAAC), believes that finding a place to live should not be one of them. Note: This is a database of accessible apartments across the United States. Be aware that some of the apartments listed in the database will already be occupied. This is a good starting point to show what is possibly available in your area.
