Autism Resources - Autism is a developmental disability which normally appears in the first 4 years of a child's life. Autism is the result of a neurological disorder in the brain and is now said to affect 1 in every 150 children born. "Autism Society of America" is dedicated to increasing public awareness about autism and the day-to-day issues faced by individuals with autism, their families and the professionals with whom they interact. The Society and its chapters share a common mission of providing information and education, and supporting research and advocating for programs and services for the autism community".

Fragile X syndrome - "(FXS), the most common cause of inherited mental impairment. This impairment can range from learning disabilities to more severe cognitive or intellectual disabilities. (Sometimes referred to as mental retardation.) FXS is the most common known cause of autism or "autistic-like" behaviors.
